Standards In The Counselling Profession

Counselling is an unregulated profession, meaning that a person does not have to have successfully undertaken any formal training in order to refer to themselves as, or to practice as, a counsellor. This can lead to vulnerable people being seen by inadequately trained and supervised 'therapists'. Looking for an appropriate counsellor can be a minefield, with people often not knowing where to turn to for support, where to even begin searching for a counsellor or what qualifications to look for and check.
Neuro Harmony is fighting for change and for regulation. We therefore uphold and promote the highest integrity and standards within the counselling profession.
All our counsellors have proper, accredited, government approved training, enhanced DBS certificates, professional indemnity insurance and registration with a professional body (BACP or UKCP)
